Two Churches Serving One City:  Partnership between Trinity and Vineyard Community Church

The Vineyard Community Church shares the Trinity building and we also to share in ministry together. We are nearing the end of our first year of discernment as to God's calling on our lives and ministry together. How does call God call us to be the church in this day?  Join us as together we move forward in seeking God's guidance. Trinity worship is at 9:30 and Vineyard worship is at 11:00 am. 


Turning Point After School Program

Exciting news!  Trinity and Vineyard are partnering together to provide Turning Point's after school program, "Homework Factory" on Tuesday and Thursdays from 3:30-5:00pm. Homework Factory provides free after school homework support to at-risk youth from nearby schools. This is a great opportunity for both churches to serve our community together. Tutors of all ages and skills are needed. Please contact Angela at Turning Point for more information or to sign up to help.

munch bunch/munchers & movers
On the 4th Wednesday of most months, the munch bunch  will enjoy a potluck in the Fellowship Hall at 12:30.  Next potluck will be April 23.  All adults available during the daytime are invited. . Bring a small dish and join us for fun and fellowship

adult study opportunities
The Monday evening and Wednesday morning Bible studies continue with a new series titled "2nd Advent from the Book of Revelations".  Join the Monday evening study at the Parkhursts' home at 7:00 pm starting Jan. 6 or the Wednesday morning study at the church in Bethany at 10:00 am starting Jan. 8.   Contact Dale Parkhurst  for more information or directions to their home.

Lent Study:  Begins Wed. March 12 through Wed. April 16. Join us for a simple supper from 6:00-6:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall followed by a study titled "Keeping Company With God: The Promises, Practices, and Puzzles of Prayer" that will meet from 6:30-7:30 pm.

men's group meetings

Friday May 16:  Dinner at 6:30 pm. Invite others for an evening of food and fellowship.

Friday June 20:  This will be our June Men's Fellowship dinner with a special invitation to the Vineyard Men's Group to join us for dinner.  Dinner will be at 6:30 but come as early as 6:00.  We will do a BBQ hamburgers and hot dogs with all the trimmings.  As usual and RSVP really helps.  This will be a fun time and another opportunity to meet and build friendship and fellowship with the Vineyard guys.

family game night
Join the fun on  for a family game night in May.  Date and time to be announced.  Bring your favorite board/table game and a snack to share and join us in Bethany.  See you there.

craft group at Trinity
Come craft and fellowship with us in Bethany.  Bring your favorite craft and a snack to share. We will provide drinks and a warm place with fun people. If you would like to learn a craft: knitting, crocheting, scrapbooking, cross stitch etc., we can find someone to teach you. One Saturday a month .  April 12 from 10am-7 pm with salad potluck for lunch; May 10 from 6-10 pm bring a snack to share. Contact Kathy Tinoco for more information.

women's potluck evening
Join the women of Trinity at a potluck and an evening of fellowship on a Friday each month. Watch for specific information. Contact Lois Halvorsen or Kris Coggin for details.

book group
The book group will meet Thurs. April 17 at 7:30 pm with a discussion of The Secret Keeper by Kate Morton.  The next year's books are listed on link from the Adults page. The group meets each month on the 3rd Thursday of the month in Bethany at 7:30 pm. Contact Tessa Machle for more information.

Go the Second Mile Mission Trip
Planning has begun for a June, 2014 mission trip to Central America to participate bringing health services to underserved communities.  Contact Vineyard office for more information.

hopelink giving
The need for food continues to increase as governmental support decreases. Please join in giving to the Hopelink Food Bank. For March and April the emphasis is on macaroni & cheese, chili, rice meals, beans, and stew. The Deacons continue their collection of "change for a change"--empty the change from your pockets into the container in the Fellowship Hall. This is used to buy disposable diapers for Hopelink families.

shawl ministry
The shawl ministry group crochets and knits shawls to be given to those who would find them a comfort in difficult times. If you have thought about this ministry, don't hesitate to come.  There are willing teachers, patterns available, and help with obtaining yarn. Meetings are on the 4th Saturday of the month at 10 am in Bethany. Next meeting will be Saturday, April 26 at 10:00 am.

women's tea
Women of Trinity--save Saturday, May 3 for a lovely tea.  Invite family and friends and join us for an afternoon of fellowship. Contact Kris Coggin or Sherri Officer for more information or to be part of the planning team.

2014 flower donations/chart
If you would like to donate for flowers for Sunday worship in 2014, please sign up on the chart in the Foyer or contact the office to be signed up.  A donation of $20 buys the flowers for Sunday morning from our regular florist. After the service you may take the flowers home with you. 

cookbooks
At Trinity's 100th birthday celebration a cookbook was compiled.  There are some of these remaining. You can purchase one for $2.00 from the Deacons. They make great small gifts for friends and family.  They are available in the Fellowship Hall.
