Children

Our Children's Ministry Team is committed to fulfilling the whole church's pledge to nurture our children in God's love and the good news of Jesus' life and resurrection so that they may come to a personal commitment to follow Him. Our focus is to work in partnership with families at Trinity and we are looking forward to what God is doing in our midst.

Children in Worship and Sunday Class: Children participate in the worship service for singing and prayers. Then, children are encouraged to leave the adult service and attend Children's Classes.  They learn Bible stories,  to pray, to sing, and be a part of a worshiping community. On Sundays when communion is served, the children return to the sanctuary to sit with their parents who decide whether their child is ready for communion.

Worship bags are available for children!  Worship bags are found on the "tree" by the Welcome Table in the lobby. They contain pages of activities and crayons.  Please return the bag with the crayons to the Worship Bag rack after the service.

Nursery Care for Infants and Toddlers
Infants and children are welcome to be in the service with their parents, however, there is nursery care available. The nursery is staffed by a consistent loving caregiver. Vibrating monitors are available to allow parents to be contacted if needed or a parent can choose to be contacted by a vibrating cell phone. Parents who choose to keep their children in church for part of the service are welcome to bring children to the nursery at any time and then return to worship.

SAFE PLACE POLICY:  Our session has adopted a Safe Place Policy and Procedures for those working in any capacity with our children and youth.  The stated purpose for this policy is, “In keeping with the covenant of baptism, we at Trinity Presbyterian Church have committed ourselves and our resources to nurturing children and youth in faith in Jesus Christ.  Further, we are committed to providing a safe place and protective care for all children, youth and volunteers involved in our ministry. We are convinced that those who represent God to our youngest members need to be loving and trustworthy.”

Please feel free to ask our pastors or elders about these policies and procedures. These documents are always available in our church office for review by any interested person.
