book group, 3rd Thursday of each month
This group welcomes anyone interested in reading and discussing the group's book.  See events for this month's plan. Click on the each year for a list of 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013-2014 books with a brief description of each.  The group welcomes you to read along with us even if you do not wish to attend the meetings.  Perhaps we can talk about the book over coffee.

thursday mornings with "the guys"
Men meet at the church to work on grounds and building maintenance and go out for coffee and pastries afterwards.  All men are invited whether you can come for one time or more frequently.  When: Thursdays from 9:00-11:00 am, Where:  Trinity outside.  Contact Ivan Ellis at IvanE@trinpc.org

prayer shawl ministry
Individuals meet to crochet or knit shawls that are infused with prayer and caring. Shawls are given to those who are ill, grieving, or in need of special caring. Beginners are welcome and others will teach you how to crochet or knit. Link here for a photo of shawls made by the team.
When: 10:-12:00 am, 4th Saturday of each month

craft, scrapbooking evenings
Do you knit, paint, sew, scrapbook, buildmodels, or do any other craft?  On one Saturday evening a month from 6-10pm, individuals bring their crafts for a time of doing, talking, sharing.  Feel free to come for the fellowship or to learn a new craft.  

munch bunch
This group of adults-- single, married, men and women meets during the daytime in the Fellowship Hall for fellowship including a potluck lunch.  Open to all!!

Annual Lenten Series: During Lent a special series of classes is held at multiple times during the week to enable as many people as possible to attend.

Intergenerational Sunday Events: On several Sundays during the year, the 11:30 hour is designed as an intergenerational experience.

Alpha, Membership Exploration, and others are scheduled throughout the year.

supporting Shoreline Schools
When: Watch for opportunities each spring. Trinity is partnering with a local elementary school. We primarily have done outside yard maintenance. One year in a partnership with Highland Terrace Elementary a group of men built benches outside the kindergarten class.

HOPELINK Volunteers
When: Monthly

Trinity provides volunteers to help with handing out food at the Hopelink Foodbank. Would you be interested in helping in this way? Prior Hopelink training is required.

prayer chain
The Deacons of Trinity organize a prayer chain of those who will commit to praying for individuals and families who are in special need of God's touch. To request prayer, please call Carol Paige or leave a message at the church. If you would like to be a part of this ministry, please contact a deacon or the church office at 206-363-3500.

church choir/worship team/sound system operators

Choir
usually sings three Sundays out of four. New folks are always welcome! Dan Shelhammer, our music director, is willing to help anyone whether you read music or not, whether you are a candidate for American Idol or simply someone who sings in the shower!
When: Practice is Wednesday 7:00-8:30 pm in Bethany from Sept. through June. Service is at 9:30 am on Sundays and for special worship services.

worship music team: Do you play an instrument? Like to help lead singing? Know contemporary Christian music?
When:  Service is at 9:30 am on Sundays and for special worship services.

sound system volunteers: Individuals are needed to operate the sound system during services and other events. No experience needed, training will be provided.
When:  Sundays at worship and for other events in the sanctuary such as wedding and memorial services.

session ministry team opportunities The session is the board of the church. Its members are elected by the membership of the church.  The session members lead ministry teams that support the work of the church and its outreach into the community. Is God calling you to work in some way? The following teams welcome people to work with them.
