book group, 4th Tuesday of each month
This group welcomes anyone interested in reading and discussing the group's book. See events for this month's plan. Click on each year for a list of books with a brief description of each: 2001-2015, 2016-2017, and 2017-2018. The group welcomes you to read along with us even if you do not wish to attend the meetings. Perhaps we can talk about the book over coffee.

craft, scrap-booking evenings
Do you knit, paint, sew, scrapbook, build models, or do any other craft? On one Saturday evening a month from 6-10 pm, individuals bring their crafts for a time of doing, talking, sharing. Feel free to come for the fellowship or to learn a new craft.
This group of adults-- single, married, men and women meets during the daytime in the Fellowship Hall for fellowship including a potluck lunch. Open to all!!

sunday morning adult classes
A series of classes are held. These may focus on a specific study book or may be specific book of the Bible. Each series is for a specified number of weeks. Special speakers may also be hosted during this hour.

Annual Lenten Series: During Lent a special series of classes is held at multiple times during the week to enable as many people as possible to attend.
Intergenerational Sunday Events: On several Sundays during the year, the 11:30 hour is designed as an intergenerational experience.
Alpha, Membership Exploration, and others are scheduled throughout the year.
Turning Point Homework Factory--After School Tutoring
Homework Factory provides free after school homework support to at-risk youth from nearby schools. Tutors of all ages and skills are needed. Training is provided. Also needed are shuttle drivers (van provided), help with preparing and serving snacks, and leaders for games and activities. Donations of books and games are useful.
When: Tues., Wed. and Thurs. from 3:00 to 5:30 during school year at the church and Thursday after school at Paramount Park School.

Turning Point Summer Explorers--For neighborhood kids grades 1-6

Thursdays With "The Guys"--for men available on Thursday mornings. All men are invited whether you can come for one time or more frequently. Come when you can--no mandatory attendance! Work together and then have coffee and pastries and swap stories.
What: Yard work, simple repairs and maintenance to keep our building and grounds looking good and working well.
When: Thursdays 9-11 am

Giving Garden Workers

Trinity provides volunteers to help with handing out food at the Hopelink Foodbank. Would you be interested in helping in this way? Hopelink training is required before beginning this work. Donations to Hopelink are always needed.
The Deacons of Trinity organize a prayer chain of those who will commit to praying for individuals and families who are in special need of God's touch. To request prayer, please call Carol Paige or leave a message at the church. If you would like to be a part of this ministry, please contact a deacon or the church office at 206-363-3500.
worship team/sound system operators

worship music team: Do you play an instrument? Like to help lead singing? Know contemporary Christian music?
When: Service is at 9:30 am on Sundays and for special worship services.

sound system/video volunteers: Individuals are needed to operate the sound and video systems during services and other events. No experience needed, training will be provided.
When: Sundays at worship and for other events in the sanctuary such as wedding and memorial services.
session ministry team opportunities The session is the board of the church. Its members are elected by the membership of the church. The session members lead ministry teams that support the work of the church and its outreach into the community. Is God calling you to work in some way?
