our vision Minimize

We will be a people connecting with and serving God, each other, and our neighbors

message from the pastor Minimize
Trinity is a joyful congregation devoted to sharing the good news about Jesus Christ with all people in the Shoreline community.

Every generation is represented here, young and old. We have an active children’s ministry, and a vital youth group for middle and senior high school students. There are opportunities for adult small groups, such as Bible Studies and Fellowship groups, and our Seniors are busy with a number of activities. We also have opportunities for mission and service to the community.

To the best of our ability, and by God’s grace, we strive to be a community that lives out the adventure of life with Christ.

We are located on top of the hill east of Aurora on North 160th Street. As a church we strive to be “a city built on a hill,” sharing the light of God with our neighbors. We seek to be God’s people here in Shoreline. If you come to visit us, you will find a welcoming and dedicated group, joyfully following God through Jesus Christ. Come visit us and find out for yourself!

With God’s blessings,
Randy Butler, Pastor
our governance Minimize

Elders:  Trinity is governed by board of nine elders called the session.  These elders are elected from members of the congregation, ordained for service, and serve for a term of 3 years.  They may be re-elected for a second term of three years but then must have at least a year off before re-election to the session.  The session is responsible for the spritual life and growth of the congregation, its mission and outreach, and its status as a non-profit church. The pastor acts as the moderator of the session.  The session members lead the major ministry teams of the church.

Deacons:  Trinity also elects and ordains nine deacons who serve in terms with limitations in the same way as elders are elected and serve.  The board of deacons is responsible for leading the congregation in care of the sick, ministering to the needs of those within the congregations and leading the congregation in its care of others.

Members:  One of the basic tenets of the Presbyterian church is the view of the priesthood of all believers.  While leaders are important, the members of the church are responsible for supporting and maintaining the life of the church through their active participation, prayers, and giving.
